As partners from science to enterprise, Hybridigm helps aspiring biotechnology entrepreneurs and investors overcome the common barriers to high-tech start-ups.
Hybridigm helps individuals hone their skills, leverage research, cultivate start-ups, innovate existing businesses, and harness Philippine biodiversity to make products and services, better, faster, or cheaper.
Founded in April 2004, Hybridigm commercializes scientific technology on behalf of scientists; it is a marriage of entrepreneurship and science. Having facilitated over US $ 3 million in investments, they hope to continue fostering the growth of a Philippine biotechnology industry.
Following Hybridigm's successful summits, biotechnology has slowly gained a foothold in the national consciousness; biotechnology is one of the thrusts of the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship’s TechnoNegosyo event as well as the PESO technology and innovation business plan competition.
In just over three years of business, Hybridigm has already undertaken and succeeded in several ambitious projects, including the successful Philippine Biotechnology Venture Summit, which is now on its 4th year. With participation rising from 50 in the first Summit in 2005 to 200 in 2006, the Summit has become a brand name in both the business and scientific communities.
